You don't necessarily have to use Fang as a Saboteur in every Paradigm, I just found it be easiest this way. Feel free to use her as another role if you think it will be easier. If you can't defeat the Shaolong Gui in a single stagger, simply repeat this process again until you defeat it. If you're lucky, you'll receive a Dark Matter.
If you do, go ahead and save before reloading to respawn the Shaolong Gui. If you don't receive a Dark Matter however, then you should reload without saving to get your Aegisol and Fortisol back.
I did this when I about halfway through my secondary roles and with maxed Tier 2 weapons, and found I could beat the Shaolong Gui every second or third attempt. It shouldn't take too long to obtain 6 Dark Matters. One of the two possible drops from Sacrifices is Scarletite, a catalyst item that normally costs , Gil. You'll need 11 of these for all necessary upgrades towards Treasure Hunter, so it is highly recommended you farm them for these Scarletites.
If you decide to farm them during Chapter 13 for Gil, you'll obtain many more than 11 Scarletites, so just ensure you keep at least 11 when you finish. If you didn't farm them for Gil, you can return at any stage in post-game to farm them for Scarletites, except you won't be able to respawn them quickly. This isn't an issue though, as it won't take very long to farm 11 Scarletites. Equip a Connoisseur Catalog to increase your chance of receiving Scarletites from the Sacrifices.
If you intend to farm for your Trapezohedrons, then obviously this is the way to go. Chances of Adamantoises dropping a Trapezohedron is very low however, so it can be quite tedious to farm them. Given you'll receive plenty of CP and Platinum Ingots during this process though, it can be worthwhile if you require those too. Despite this though, I recommend you check the Treasure Hunter Guide on how to obtain all Trapezohedrons without farming Adamantoises, so you can avoid this hefty grind altogether.
SaltyStrawberry 9 Oct, am. I would like to add here it is possible to farm the Smaller Adamantoise, the ones without the chains on their legs on chap11 when Fang learns Daze. Debuffing with slow and Daze greatly helps as you not only farm 4. SoundsInsane 20 Jul, pm. Shroud Catalog, for Extra Shrouds in the future. Not much advise i can give, but the experience is where it counts. I want to mention that Edenhall is a good place to grind for cash. Lots of soldiers and sacrifices there for incentive and credit chips, and scarletite.

Please help me set up my Lightning. Shinerbock magic stat does influence the effectiveness of death, but with a stat that high you should have no problem getting deaths to stick. If someone is a lower level and still has problems with spot 1 not to long after that spot is another place to get points easy. The spot is right after a save point you will run into 3 separate groups of them, after the 1st group there will be a item on the left then a large metal cylinder on the right side.
If you walk just past that, but just before the group of 2, you will see the first group of 3 hoplites flash back on to the mini map, this is the respawn point, as long as you come at them from this point you will almost always get the initiative.
Each of these battles is worth cp and took me an average of 8 seconds per battle so its an easy way to gain cp for lower levels. Gonna throw my method in, which is for those who can't beat the toise yet.
Mission 34 , which can only be reached with a chocobo, Is a very easy fight against a Tonberry and will net you 15k with GE and 7 bomb cores in a minute. In the end I went with Spot 1 with the growth egg. It was a pain, but it was a guaranteed Long Gui's do give awesome cp with the growth egg k but with those bastards immune to the death spam method it takes two summons in order to make it manageable.
